For years I have given handmade food gifts for Christmas to my family and friends. It began as a way to save money, but in the process it taught me that giving something handmade was far more precious than a dollar amount. And who doesn't love food!
My hope is that with this book you can also begin this tradition.. To take things back a notch where we once again value handmade gifts, and even more importantly, we are reminded that thoughtfulness doesn't need to have a price tag attached to it.
Christmas is a time for family and friends, and giving a gift of handmade food is the perfect thoughtful gift to show them how much you appreciate and love them. Our time is the most precious gift we can give someone and there is nothing more special than that.
I hope you find some new Christmas favourites in this book that become a tradition in your own kitchen, like they have been in mine.
With 30 recipes both sweet and savoury, with many that can be made months in advance, you too will be delivering jars and packages of delicious gifts that everyone, even the kids will love.
Happy Making & Baking,
Sharon
