Have you ever...

  • Loved the idea of making your own soaps, but didn't know where to start?
  • Looked for alternative cleansing products that don't leave your skin itchy and dry, or
  • Dreamed of starting your own business selling soap

For as long as I could remember...

I'd had this little seed of an idea that I would like to make soap.

The images in my mind of creating rows and rows of hand cut, gorgeous smelling soaps really appealed to my creative side.

I would buy some from a stall at my local markets every time I went and they were always such a pleasure to use.

They were so different to use compared to commercial soaps from the supermarket that always left my skin itchy and dry.

I began dreaming about making my own soaps.

I'd borrow books from the library and fantasise about blending my own essential oils and creating my own creamy and deliciously scented bars. 🌻🌼🌻

But...every time I began reading how to do it, I would stop short as soon as the instructions started talking about using lye! 😮

I didn't even know what it was, but it didn't sound like it was something that would be easy to use.

I never went further than that, I just put it in the too hard basket and never took the plunge!

Then one day a friend of mine enrolled me in a soap making class...and the rest is history!

It turned out working with lye wasn't anything to be worried about at all!

I went crazy concocting all kinds of wonderful soaps and everybody in my life got some. Christmases, birthdays, any occasion and they would be gifted some soap...even just for visiting!🤣

Then years later when I started teaching cooking classes, I just knew I had to share this wonderful skill with anyone who wanted to learn. 🙋‍♀️

I love teaching people how to make natural products from scratch, especially handmade soaps.

And now I'm so excited to bring my classes to the virtual world.

No matter where you are, you can learn this ancient skill and begin to create your favourite soaps in your own home.

Don't put it off for as long as I did...take the plunge...you'll be glad you did!
